Mullendore Elementary will create an engaging learning environment designed to spark students’ curiosity and passion for STEM subjects. This initiative provides a structured pathway for students to develop STEM fluency and career awareness from elementary school through high school and beyond.

  • The school’s curriculum will be aligned to prepare students for STEM pathways in high school, college and future careers.
  • As a Preparatory STEM Academy, Mullendore Elementary will empower students to meet the Portrait of a Graduate expectations by:
    • engaging in real-world, project-based learning;
    • developing an awareness of and responsibility for environmental stewardship;
    • collaborating with school and community stakeholders;
    • partnering with high school mentors from the Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning, and

Standardized Dress Code Implementation

The Board approved a standardized dress code for the school that will enhance the learning environment and reinforce the Academy’s focus on STEM education.

  • The recommended dress code includes jeans or khakis (long or short) or the option of a skirt for girls, and a solid color white, green, or black collared shirt for both boys and girls.
  • A campus clothes closet will be available to assist students in need of appropriate attire.
  • Campus administration will collaborate with local partners to secure funding and provide clothing assistance for disadvantaged students.

The Birdville ISD Board of Trustees believes these initiatives will create a dynamic and focused educational environment that prepares students for success in STEM-related fields while fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.
