Kendra Scott Foundation Awards Grant & Little Yellow Library to Binion Elementary

Binion Elementary is one of 15 schools selected to receive a grant from the Kendra Scott Foundation for its library. As a strong supporter of literacy and libraries in Title 1 schools, the Foundation’s grant includes $2,000 in funding for books, a Kendra Scott Yellow Library bookshelf to highlight these books, and an additional $1,000 to support literacy efforts on campus. A launch event was held on Nov. 8, 2024 at which the bookshelf, books and a check were presented to the school. Special guests included two Dallas Cowboy’s cheerleaders who read books to the students in both English and Spanish.
