Will BISD Be Able To Reach You?
![can we reach you]()
If needed during winter weather or vital district communications, Birdville ISD calls and/or texts parents to inform them of the status of school. This is also the information your child’s school uses to contact parents. Please log in and verify the home and cell phone numbers listed in FOCUS. (Even if they are the same, a number must be listed in both the Home and Cell fields.) For winter weather calls, the system will only call one number. So, please make sure the appropriate number is listed in our system. (If you want to receive text messages from the District, there must be a phone number listed in the Cell field.) This is also a good time to confirm your email. BISD uses each of these as part of their communications options with parents.

The District is in communication with the National Weather Service, as well as local and county officials and will continue to monitor the weather situation through the week. Please note that BISD campuses will be open early Tuesday–Friday (Jan. 7–10) to accommodate students who walk, ride bikes or are dropped off before normal opening times. Elementary and middle school campuses will open at 7 a.m. and high schools will open at 6:30 a.m. If weather conditions arise that necessitate a change in the plans for school, we will provide updates through phone calls, text messages and email.
