Students at the Collegiate Academy of Birdville (CAB) have the opportunity to earn an associate degree from Tarrant County College while they earn their high school diploma at Haltom High School. Students can still choose to participate in band, athletics, theater, choir, or other extracurricular activities while enrolled in the program. This is an opportunity to earn a two-year degree at no additional expense to your family!

The positions for next year’s freshman class will be filled through a weighted lottery to be held in early March, and students will be informed of their selection after Spring Break.

Beginning, Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, BISD will begin offering COVID-19 testing for staff and on Tuesday, Jan. 25 add testing for current students at the Birdville Fine Arts/Athletics Complex Monday–Friday from 6–9 a.m. and 3–6 p.m. This testing center is ONLY for current BISD students and staff.
BISD employees must bring their employee ID badge to receive COVID-19 testing.
Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents of students, family members of staff, and all others will be turned away for testing, even if you have waited in line.
This testing center is ONLY for students and staff who are either currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are a household contact of someone who has already tested positive for COVID-19. People who do not meet that criteria will be turned away, even if they have waited in line.
Eligible students and staff will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
