April 6, 2021 | TEA Update: Today's STAAR Testing Administration Issues

Clik here to view.Earlier today, Birdville ISD was notified of a systemwide outage of the Educational Testing System, which administers STAAR tests for the state. Due to the ongoing technical issues with the testing system, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has halted online testing for today for STAAR fourth-grade writing, seventh-grade writing and English I EOC across Texas. Students that took a paper-based test were able to continue and finish their assessments.  

We will have an update by the end of today from TEA regarding how students taking today’s STAAR online will make up the assessment. As soon as the District receives this update, we will provide you with that information.
