Lunch will be provided Monday–Friday throughout the closure.

The Community Enrichment Center (CEC) and Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide groceries for families

Beginning Thursday, March 19, the Community Enrichment Center and Tarrant Area Food Bank will provide groceries to families at various BISD feeding stations. Groceries will be distributed at the same time meals are being distributed by BISD. Groceries will be distributed on the following schedule:

Thursday, March 19:  West Birdville Elementary

Friday, March 20:  Birdville Elementary

Starting the week of March 23:

·       Binion Elementary – Mondays

·       Watauga Elementary – Tuesdays

·       Academy at C.F. Thomas – Wednesdays

·       West Birdville Elementary – Thursdays

·       Birdville Elementary – Fridays

Four to six volunteers are needed each day to help families complete a short questionnaire and load groceries in vehicles. Children, individuals over age 60, and individuals with underlying health conditions should not volunteer. Individuals should be prepared to follow safety precautions as directed by the CDC. Once details on how to volunteer are finalized with the CEC, they will be posted on this site.

Viernes, Marzo 20:  Birdville Elementary

March and May SAT Administrations

In response to the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19), College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020 SAT administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled.

Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds.

In the coming days, College Board will share additional information and details directly with registered students and test centers.

Future Testing Opportunities

College Board will provide future additional SAT testing opportunities for students as soon as possible in place of canceled administrations. We’ll be as flexible as possible to give students the best chance to show their skills and stay on the path to college.

We have not yet canceled the June 6, 2020 SAT administration and will continue to assess its status, with the health and safety of students and educators as our top priority. We are also exploring the possibility of adding an international SAT administration later this school year.

April ACT Administration

ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date.

Students who can’t or don’t wish to reschedule may receive a refund of their April registration fee.
